Event Report
Howard County REACT members volunteered as Course Marshals for the run course of this event. The run course ran through mostly residential neighborhoods and along a busy two-way road.

Our main function was to guide participants through the course and monitor the safety and well being of the participants while on the course. Our team also assisted county police at intersections and other volunteers that were stationed at water stations along the run course.

The coordination of these efforts required excellent communications between the team members.  The radios that were used to accomplish this task were provided to REACT courtesy of Nextel Communications.

A special thanks to all of the volunteers who contributed their time, and especially to Nextel for their continued support of Communications in Community Service.
