Our Mission
Howard County REACT is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization focused on providing personnel who are trained in the proper use 2-way radio communications to assist other in emergencies. Originally organized to monitor Citizens Band frequencies for emergency traffic, REACT has evolved over time and expanded into other more commonly used radio frequencies to achieve the mission statement.
Using band plans such as amatuer (HAM), and GMRS for primary communications, Howard County REACT assists other organizations and governement agencies to prepare for and assist in emergency responce efforts before, during, and after disasters or events when normal communications fail or are overwhelmed.
